    “The water is shimmering gently”
“shimmering” is a verb and “gently” is an adverb

    I reckon thats kinda impossible..

You can do it by using nouns instead of adjectives and choosing evocative and descriptive verbs.

The lake glistened like a mirror and reflected the view of the trees and mountains.
The flamingo posed in the water like a ballerina.
A dog barked and then chased his tail. etc etc

The city bustled with tourists and shoppers. The shops cried out to people: “Buy me”. Cars hooted their horns. etc etc
