It sounds like your trying to design your garden. Before of spending a lot of money, you aught to take a look at eGardenHome.com. This site has web-based landscape design software. It’s new so it doesn’t have as many features as Punch or Better Home and Garden, but it’s free. The database has about 500 plants, but you can add your own if you can’t find what you’re looking for.
If you really want Punch software then go for the Punch Master Landscape Pro Version 10, it has 2000 plants. You may want to check out the review sites.
