Black berries fruit on canes that grew last year. Don’t expect much the first year. Most home improvement stores carry them in the spring. I have lots of thornless black berries in my backyard. Plant them somewhere that you can mow around as they spread from the roots and will come up every where.

depending on the age of the bush when you bought it i would say 3 years, black berry bushes need plenty of sun light, at least 8 hrs per day, best place to get them would be a nursery or garden center, that way you could get more info on how best to grow them, not at home depot or lowes, one with a horticultrist expert

I was wondering if you can tell me what is destroying my black eyed susans, one of my purple cone flower plants and one hydrangea plant also, they slowly turn black and crispy and die!..I have had this happen to several of my plants outside this year, and something is eating the petals off my purple cones, thanks, anne
