HI, i wouldn’t personally know anything regarding this subject but I did look it up for you and this might help you out

Hire some illegal Japanese laborers to do this work that no American would touch.
i would go to all the garden centers around me and talk to people. also get all the books and study what i like. get an idea of what i like and go back to garden centers and ask how to do it.
This should get you motivated

Well, get an idea of what you want it to look like
1. kinds of plants
2. fountains etc.,
3. where everything will be placed
Go to a local plant store and tell them what you are interested in.
Hopefully they are not idiots and make up things like people at petsmart….ANYWAY! The blueprint is really important, you might need some minor help, but good luck! =)
and don’t ask the people at petsmart about chameleons, they know nothing I tell you!!! >_<
I would start at the library and see what you really want. To me, Japanese gardens are rocks and raked sand. If you want that you may have to level your ground and dump in a load of sand.
Here is a gorgeous Chinese garden I visited in Vancouver. they use loads of conifers, water and cloud stones. Green is the dominant color in Chinese gardens.

I personally do not think this style would go with this style ranch house. I guess you could put a waterfall on the left side, as the yard tends to go downward. You’ll have to take into consideration lawn care after the installation. You need a tall tree to the left, or some thing to level the look because the yard view tends to lean.
Lorry load of small pebbles and lawn killer. Spread out pebbles and plant a few Japanese maples. OH! if you have a large pond build a bridge over it
Good morning we are a timber frame company that has just completed a prototype of a Japanese gazebo. If you would like a brochure please email me at johnsalisbury@salisburygazebo.com, as this is our prototype we would be willing to try to make it work.
