Why Is My Columbine Not Blooming?
I have an Aquilegia vulgaris Clementine dark purple that I got in early May. I planted it in a pot with another perennial. My columbine is actually getting very big foliage, but it has literally zero blooms on it. I fertilize it once a week and it has good drainage. Have I done something wrong to make it not bloom?

I have dozens in my garden with lots of flowers. I just sprinkle the seeds in late summer and they come up every year in fact some grow wild even on the driveway. Maybe you fertilzed too much. I only fertilize once.
You’re fertilizing it too much. Columbines don’t need very much fertizilizer. I have some growing in my garden and I use a bit of bone meal on them in the spring and that’s it. Too much nitrogen will make the leaves grow quite well but at the expense of the flowers.
